+1 on merging with the music thread. who knows if the 70% off will last but "full discography" downloads are available on bandcamp for some time and new albums, if there are any, should be able to be added to the purchase automatically. Never bought anything from Bandcamp so am just uncertain if I have to download is as soon as I purchase or if it's an account thing where it'll remember I bought it. I gotta reinstall my OS in a few minutes is all :/ You can download them when you purchase, but all purchases are stored in your bandcamp account so you can download them again at anytime. its nice!

Can merge it with the music thread, just thought it ought to have a bit of visibility since it's a biggish deal, and from a glance the music thread here looked more like a discussion of Collide's music than a general thing *shrug*

But... Homestuck's not quite over yet. Anyone know how long this sale's gonna last? It lasts until 4/13 according to What Pumpkin, which might imply that Volume 10 is still a thing? Although the fact that this is happening at all, makes me less hopeful.

I was wish there was a way to get only the albums I don't have (pretty much all the albums before Strife) at a discounted price, rather than all of them. A legal way that is. Oh well, I'll get them eventually.

I indeed merged both threads, both can easily fit into one topic.

Music experts, what differences are there between "Eternity, Served Cold (Canon Edit)" and the unused portion of "Eternity Served Cold?" For the life of me I can't tell the difference.

I think that's just it.
Idr who said it but I'm pretty sure someone mentioned that "canon edit" in this context just means any songs that had to be altered for their use in the flash.

Updated topic for the news! I've purchased enough albums that it's "only" a 50% discount for me. Also Beforus fan album coming out tomorrow. Begin hyping appropriately. And then RJ will be releasing Stuckhome Syndrome in 4 days. There's been effectively no music news for three years, and now there are four things going on in one week.

Apparently [S] Collide is the #1 best-selling album on Bandcamp. And Cherubim is #5, last I checked. This is pretty great.

If I'd known they were going to make you able to buy all the albums at once, I'd have waited. But I don't like spending a lot of money all at once anyway. Maybe I will just keep buying them one at a time.
Also, I can't wait for the Beforus album. I think I've got a song on there, which I accidentally deleted from my phone after deleting from my computer to hide it from a boyfriend I used to have (That's a story I won't go into), so hopefully I should be able to hear it again for the first time in ages.

The . . . the discount would save me . . . $1.28
Trying to tell myself it's not worth it . . .

It would save me -5c, so definitely not worth it.

I don't have any of the albums, but I'm not sure if I want to drop 50 bucks anyway.

It'd be nice if they just dropped the prices by a percentage, but I can see why they're doing this.
Anyone think there'll be a Showtime quote in the final update?

I hope nobody minds me posting this here; it's my song art for "The Scratch Before the Calm" from the hit fanalbum sensation Beforus. I hope some of you made it to the livestream, it was pretty fun. Thecrystalship: you should definitely consider it. I have gotten an awful lot of mileage out of the music over the years. fish: it seems like it would be awfully appropriate. It's easy to forget how cool it was to have a webcomic with music. I just remember I was excited to hear that they'd gotten the guy who did music for Kid Radd on board.

The Beforus album was really great! I'm definitely planning on acquiring it as soon as I can. Congratulations to everyone who worked on it: now I'm regretting not doing so myself.
(Also I am somewhat amused that "Cronus seatbelt safety" will quite possibly be the last meme of the Homestuck fandom)

Awesome! A great deal to get all of the albums. Buying this will save me ... negative $50.95. Because I already have them all. Oh well, for the extra cost, I got the advantage of being able to listen to them whenever I wanted within the span of time between when I got them and now!

What do think will be the last piece of music in Homestuck? The main options I was thinking of were Homestuck, Homestuck Anthem, or Showtime (Piano Refrain) but it could be anything honestly.

Homestuck and Homestuck Anthem are both great options, but they've also had their moment in the sun. Same deal with Do You Remem8er Me? Mother would be a great option, but it's a bit long. Game Over might not have enough punch but the feeling is right, same with Unlabeled (oh, how I do love One Year Older though!) Sarabande would probably get me good. Alternia would be a strong candidate, and Hussie does have a thing for going with what sounds right rather than what a song ostensibly goes with. Stargaze would also be pretty easy to put at the very end after other music, and I think a closing shot of everyone laying back and looking up at new stars would be both easy and satisfying. Something about the lack of resolution at the end of the song does give it a very melancholy sound. For a more upbeat ending I would have enjoyed an "Ending of Something Really Excellent" mix, but I think it's fair to guess that RJ hasn't made one for the update. Or he could just say "screw it all" and go for Let The Squiddles Sleep.

I personally like Light, Make a Wish, Song of Skaia, Phantasmic Youngsters, or maybe something from Symphony Impossible to Play--but if there's one in particular I'm gunning for, it's Song of Skaia. It's character/session agnostic, and it's gorgeous.

I'd love to have something from OYO, but it really doesn't seem like Andrew Hussie cares for Jit's music lately. Speaker (Skaia's Reflection) might be good.

Back when I thought Act 7 would be pretty much an epilogue and not the actual climax, I was hoping for The Vast Croak as the final track, depicting the emergence of the new universe, but I don't think that'll work at this point.

Beta Version. Song of Skaia (perhaps all of it). Bilious/Speaker/Vast Croak. I - Overture. Carapacian Dominion. Creation. Pretty much anything from the albums not featured so far, but the first two would be my top picks.
The Wanderers not featuring once is the biggest musical crime this comic has made, but there isn't really an opportunity to fix that any more.
