I think the people who 'win' internet arguments are just the ones that compromise the least.
Caring about the actual truth dooms your argument because you need a confirmation bias to win.

The Game Grumps aren't that funny. I do enjoy let's plays, but for whatever reason whenever I've tried watching a Game Grumps video, I just didn't find it interesting. Same. Also Roosterteeth, Markiplier, and PewDiePie. I can't watch any of them.
The only good letsplay is Monster Factory I think the people who 'win' internet arguments are just the ones that compromise the least. Caring about the actual truth dooms your argument because you need a confirmation bias to win. That very much depends on the argument and situation itself. That said, "winning" an argument is a lost game, since most the time, even when someone admits defeat, they go off still beleiving what they said originally anyway. And internet fight is all about convincing bystanders, they are the judges, you stop when you feel things are getting recursive. |
