There is not too much to examine. Your house is dark, and clouds of smoke are starting to drift in the air. If you were to make a guess, it's probably going to get a fair bit darker soon. Out in the distance towards Zane's house you can see large fires that are beginning to spread. This confused you, since only a couple of meteors have landed over that way. The meteor shower is only just starting, and no big fires have been started anywhere else yet. You wonder what happened, and more importantly if Zane is okay.
But more importantly, you need to get your computer up and running, and your friends coordinated. You have your confirmation, now you need to get everyone into the Medium.

How exactly would you do that? You mean, you aren't averse to the idea, but you haven't got a clue as to HOW you would do such a thing. You aren't an engineer by any means.

No, you're pretty sure... Oh, wait, the cigarette lighter? You might be able to do that... but you don't know how to make the transition between cord types. You'd also probably need some extension cords to get it up to your room. The idea could work though.

Yeah, that'd probably be a good idea. You actually cleaned up quite a lot earlier, but again, the house has furniture in the way. No matter what you do, there's gonna be unwanted redecorating.
Oh, hold on, you're being pestered by people.
I've been feeling kind of sick, and I'm about to introduce like 3 or 4 new people over the phone, so there might be a short hiatus while I recover from whatever throat infection I currently have.

It's a desktop, not only would you have to unplug everything and carry it down piecemeal to avoid risking messing something up during the captchaloguing process or breaking something when you uncaptchalogue it, then you wouldn't have a comfortable place to use things. You'll have to alchemize a laptop as soon as you're able to. Anyways, if you've got the adapters available you can do it from up here just fine.
