Greetings From Earth C: Post-canon content discussion!

Agreed - John is the only one who seems to be living mostly by himself (Jade, Dave and Karkat appear to all be hanging together, Roxy and Calliope too, Rose and Kanaya are obvious, Jane's most likely with her dad and Dirk and Jake were seen hanging out a lot as well. Terezi is by herself too, but granted, she IS on a mission) and hasn't really... accomplished anything in particular either. All you see him doing is celebrating his birthdays with less and less enthusiasm each time, being sad over Dad and just being there.

I'm thinking John might miss having a bit more of a sense of purpose, and seeing that little shit taunt him ignited that flame again - a chance to be a hero after years of sitting back and relaxing. Odds are, if we're lucky, that this will be one of the things resolved in the true epilogue - since we're likely to see the aftermath of the master.

So, yesterday I saw the first 5 snaps.

Before I watch the new ones, I just wanted to talk some more about that Dave-WV-Jade-PM picture. I just realized just how many conflicts there have been in that group in the past few years, either in the post-retcon timeline or in the pre-retcon timeline.

- Pre-retcon Dave and pre-retcon Grimbark Jade had a lot of unresolved issues that they bickered about against each other.
- Pre-retcon Grimbark Jade threatened to kill WV and almost succesfully did before Dave could save him.
- Pre-retcon PM found dead Jade and killed Dave when he tried to retrieve her body.
- Post-retcon PM had to overcome her instinctual love for Jade to punch her and then defeat Jack.
- When WV first saw Dave on the monitor in his exile station, he felt indifferent and confused about him.

And now, look at the 4 of them together, happy and good friends like that. That truly warms my heart.

So, 2 of the B1 Kids seem to have built a strong bond with 2 of the Exiles. But not so much for John and Rose though (well okay, both had some kind of fondness for WV, but not as much as Dave I'd think). Now I wonder how things would have been if AR and WQ had still been alive... though I highly doubt John and Rose would have become best buds with AR and WQ, hahaha.

Anyway, time to watch the new snaps! I have no idea how many to expect now. Nor do I have any clue yet whether or not Andrew put up anything else for 10/25 (yet).

There's Jane!!! With Jade and Jake... and they're also going to the meteor! Huh. Alright then, so this is not taking place simultaneously with Jade, Jake and Dave meeting up WV and PM then, alright (if we assume that this picture is happening simultaneously with the previous one, that is).

Perhaps Dave, Jade, Jane and Jake visited WV and PM together, and then immediately went on towards the meteor now?

It seems like everyone's meeting up on the meteor, like good old times. The meteor really is just the all-around meetup place, haha.

Also, it's cool to see some characters visit the meteor that never did before (as in, the B2 Kids).

I'm pretty curious what they'll be doing over there!

Ooooh, nice!!! They're now on the part of the meteor where Calliope and Caliborn used to live! I mean, this is the cylinder thingy on the meteor where they lived. And that hole over there is where the ladder was that Calliope used to go to the top!

Which means they'll now be visiting Calliope's old home (...before it became her home, chronologically )! Are we going to find out how all that mysterious juju stuff got over there???

Wow, it's been a long time since Calliope last visited this place. I wonder how things look inside right now!

Also, I'm happy to see Karkat and Dirk are there too. Everyone's together! Well, except for Dad possibly.

Awww, we're not seeing Calliope's room.

But pffff, that chalk drawing Dave and Karkat made during the Act 6 Act 6 Intermission 5 flash is somehow still there after however many hundreds or thousands or millions of years have already passed for that meteor on Earth, chronologically.

...GAH TEREZI IS THERE.

OH MY GOD.

I DIDN'T EVEN NOTICE AT FIRST.

So we finally have confirmation that Terezi DID come along to Earth, yes!!!!!!! Thank god. That's one big mystery these snaps have finally revealed already, wow!!!

I wonder what else they're going to find down there.

OH MY GOD. So after the drunk date, Rose never went to retrieve that slipper, ahahaha. Oh man.

...Hey! plainWonder's got a really good point that this means the same event happened both pre-retcon AND post-retcon! That's also very, very good to know.

N'aww, I like how both Rose and Kanaya are smiling here. Fond memories!

Hehe, all the girls (except for Roxy) are together here. On that day, all girls decided they wanted to be a Disney princess.

Ooooh, that goat clone thing! That's probably the same one Gamzee was sitting on top of when Equius confronted him. Which means this is the room in which Terezi found Equius and Nepeta's dead bodies...

Man, this is probably bringing up some sad memories for Terezi, what with how she's looking up at it. Both of Equius and Nepeta's passing, and just Gamzee in general.

I wonder if they're going to do something with those clone things? Like, let them out or something? We might not find out though.

But in any case, it's so cool how we're now re-exploring some of the old places on the meteor!

I've been speculating on a Homestuck credits page for YEARS, and now that it's finally time for it... I can hardly come up with anything!

Other than my favorite theory is that the music will be Alternia. But there's plenty of other songs that would work great too!

And the question is... what kind of visuals will we get? Judging from the brief glimpse I got from the MSPA wiki search, it looks like it will be something to do with the Snapchat! Will it show the same snaps we've been seeing here, or will it show other stuff?

And also... is it going to reveal anything else important like how the past few snaps have? Like, something to do with the Dreambubbles or anything?

I'm... pretty anxious! I never thought MSPA was going to have another update, and now here we are. The FINAL final page(s)?

We're doing this man... we're making this HAPPEN.

Just wow.

That. Was. Unbelievably. AWESOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOME.

That was so much more than I could have possibly dreamed for a credits flash, let alone for the FINAL part of Homestuck!

First of all, the SONG. Ascend!!! Like with many other Volume 10 songs, when I heard it on the Bandcamp I thought it was a shame that it never got a flash... but now look!!! I never thought of it as a credits song but it worked so, so well.

Andrew DEFINITELY didn't go down the obvious route for this!

Let's start with the most simple part of this: the textual credits. For the most part that's pretty much what I'd expected. I liked the shout-out to Eddie Morton there, and I thought it was funny how the ICP was included in the list of musicians. That reference to us as the MSPA Readers at the end there was also pretty hilarious, haha.

I really loved the framing device of this flash. First of all the flash that came before it!!! I just LOVE how we went back to the very first flash of Homestuck, with the music and showing John's neighborhood.

I actually believed we were going to see either John standing in his room like how it all started OR them all having a pumpkin party in there, haha. But instead, it was just a really, really cool way to zoom in all the way to his smartphone and start the actual credits.

God I don't even know where to BEGIN discussing this clusterfuck of information.

So, it looks like the Lands of the Kids stayed behind in their old session BUT they did bring everything with them, including all the Salamander homes!!! That was a really nice touch, John's neighborhood now being Salamander homes.

But... apparently John's house got reverted to its original state! How did that happen? Did they remove all the extra parts and all the Sburb machines themselves, did Sburb do it itself, or is it not actually John's original house and just a rebuilt version of it?

In any case, I really loved the way the rooms inside John's house were drawn there. So... 3D-like! And yet, so much like how we used to know them.

It's been way too long since we last saw John's room! Act 5 Act 2, right? One of my only slight disappointments after 4/13 was that we never got to see John's room again during Act 6 or 7, but now we finally did!!!! That's so cool.

I also really liked how that flash was kind of treated like Myststuck, with all the arrows! That worked really well.

I was also pleasantly surprised that it was a NORMAL flash and not a Youtube flash! Plus, the loading screen!!! That was EXACTLY like how the original loading screens for flashes used to be (including the lack of percentages), other than the white colour instead of the green colour! That was really cool.

It's also pretty interesting how John's home is again located at some kind of Pipe Lake!

Hehe, when we were going to enter through John's front door, I was half-expecting it to open in some kind of 3D-style like with that "Exit" flash at the end of year 2, or alternatively some COMPLETELY unexpected character suddenly opening the door and welcoming us to a Pumpkin Party, haha.

I really like that John's room now has the magic chest again, and even his desktop computer!

What's that poster to the far left though? Is that a new poster? It doesn't look familiar to me at least.

Hehehe, Dave gave him a new poster, a SBAHJ one! I wonder if it's some kind of foreshadowing for that SBAHJ project Andrew's been working on. Gotta love the "youre welcome" touch.

Anyway, back to the actual credits flash now. That was a FUCKTON of information.

I'm pretty relieved that those 10 snapshots are included here as well!

And WOOOOOOOOOOOOOOW, so the ACTUAL reason they all went back to the meteor was to do some ecto-cloning!!! Back where it all started for the A2 Trolls, it's also the starting point for the revival of their races, n'aww

Hahaha, so they cloned Jake and Roxy first! Of course I immediately thought of Dirk and Caliborn's "porn" of their baby, and it looks EXACTLY like that baby a few snaps later!! Hahaha, so cool.

And pfff, Karkat what are you doing poking that slime. I imagine that those ecto-shapes probably collapsed into a puddle of slime again, possibly just after Karkat poked it.

I'm really happy to see that John got to do the actual ecto-cloning!

And then the first babies... some kind of male Dave/Jane child I think, a Jade baby with white hair, a Karkat clone, a grub that looks like Terezi, two Dersites, one Prospitian, and n'awwwww a Jade-blood grub. KANAYA'S CRYING, PLEASE HELP ME. HER DREAM FINALLY CAME TRUE.

And haha, next snap we see John posing with his cute little babies. I love that they immediately gave the Dave/Jane child (which I'm going to be dubbing Dane for now) Stiller shades. And ooooh, I didn't notice that the "Jade baby" actually has Rose's hair band and part of Rose's hair, meaning it's probably a mix of Jade and Rose (Rode?)! N'aww.

Pffff, oh Karkat. Still so annoyed by being covered in babies. After some discussion, we've come to the conclusion these babies might be the following combinations: Aradia + Feferi (the hair at the end, plus the tips of the horns kind of like Feferi), Kanaya + Terezi, Eridan + Karkat (), JOHN + ROXY (N'AWWWWWWWWWW), and WV + PM?? (D'AWWWWWWW)

But in any case, this is REALLY good news that the blood colours of the dead Trolls are not 'lost', they're actually capable of making clones of them! So Seadwellers definitely aren't extinct anymore!

SO. MANY. BABIES.

And then they sent off the babies with a bunch of the Carapacians to start their new lives... wow. That was a really clever way to use those ships from the Battlefield! And they got sent all the way over to Can Town where WV and PM were waiting for them...

WHEN SUDDENLY 5000 YEAR TIMESKIP. Enough time for their civilization to bloom by themselves, so that they could then check in on how they're doing and join the world!

That is SO COOL.

Ahahaha, OF COURSE Dad goes to buy the news!

"The Common Hornograph: Creators Return at Last" ==> Wooooooooah. So the newspaper that DD used to read also got popular in Universe C AND the stories about the Kids who created the universe persisted! That's really awesome. It's cool to see that they were looking forward to their return.

N'aww, John, Jane and Dad took a family picture for John and Jane's birthday... their 17th then, I presume?

AND THEN NANNASPRIIIIIIIIIIIIITE! That's a HUGE relief to see the Sprites made it out there as well! It still leaves the question what happened to the A2 Troll Sprites, but at least it answers this!

And there John and Jane stand with their two Guardians... I just realized how both John and Jane sort of have a Guardian who survived the game, John with Nannasprite and Jane with Dad! It just hit me with Nanna and Dad holding the children their shoulders.

Meanwhile, EPIC selfie by Karkat, Terezi, Dave and Jade, hahahaha. EVEN INCLUDING ONE-PIXEL SMILE, HELL TO THE FUCK YES.

I like how Dave's doing a thumbs up just like when his present self met his future self all the way back in Act 5 Act 2.

Also maaaaaaaan, all these different kingdoms!!! That's so cool to see. So did they all split up to go rule over (or at least live in) all these different kingdoms?

Rose, Roxy, Calliope and Kanaya went to the Carapace Kingdom IN DREAM OUTFITS. Every part of that sentence is surprising, but I'm SO happy to see a return of the dreaming outfits! We never even got a good look at Calliope in a dream outfit before now!

Meanwhile Dirk and Jake in Consort Kingdom... wut. xD Like, why.

BUT WITH FUCKING GCATAVROSPRITE. Look at him!!! We finally got to see him again! I'm so relieved to see he's alive and well after the game... especially well! Did they find a treatment so that he doesn't suffer so hard from his allergy anymore? This definitely makes up for him not appearing in Collide or Act 7.

Karkat and Jake battling each other with shaving cream and pistols on top of Jade and the Pogo Ride, inside John's home for his birthday... THAT'S ONE HELL OF A SENTENCE I NEVER THOUGHT I'D WRITE, BUT DANG IF I DIDN'T JUST WRITE IT AND IF IT ISN'T AWESOME.

I love Jade's unamused look there.

Matt Mcconnaughcake though... hell. Fricking. Yes.

Meanwhile Dave wears a Terezi-like blindfold while decapitating a Dirk pinata. NOW THAT'S THE TWISTED HUMOUR I LIKE. xD

And then... Rose and Kanaya marrying. ;_;

My heart literally melted there, that was such a heartwarming scene. I think it's kind of funny how Rose is the groom though, hehe.

It's interesting to see Dad with a black outfit for once!

That's one hell of an awesome cake though... WITH THE LIGHT AND MARYAM SYMBOL ON TOP OF IT, HELL YES.

It's cool to see Calliope in different clothes for once. It reminds me of Doomed Calliope's dark outfit!

But... oh dear god. The Trickster lollypop. IT IS STILL A THING. Jake's reaction to this fact is the absolute best.

I wonder... is this the exact same lollypop that the B2 Kids used before, and is this also its origin? Like, will it from here be split up into two and end up as Calliope and Caliborn's jujus? That actually sounds really plausible to me.

I love how Rose and Kanaya then go to re-enact one of Dirk and Caliborn's porns.

Hahaha, so Dave, Karkat and Jade went looking for statues of liberty! Amazing. Digging up things does seem to me like a thing Dave would do!

And woooooooooooooooow. Apparently Dirk has made a Lord English replica robot to train against!!! That's really cool, they were probably preparing to take him down at some point! I love that Tavros continued to be with his friend Jake.

WHEN SUDDENLY SAWTOOTH AND SQUAREWAVE OUT OF NOWHERE. We went a billion years without them appearing, and there they are!!!! Finally!!!

I'm so glad to see they made it out okay into the new universe too.

And pfffff, Dirk and Jake went back to "beatdowns" like how Jake used to with Brobot. I imagine it's in a far friendlier context now though!

And then suddenly John's 18th birthday! I awwed at the fact that he continues to love Nicolas Cage.

Also, it's great to see that all of them still gathered there at John's house to celebrate his birthday together, two years after the game finished.

We even see Rose and Jade talking, who we haven't seen talking in AGES!

I was very much surprised at the sudden twist that Terezi DID go out to the Furthest Ring in search for Vriska though! That was my original thought on what she could have done instead of entering the new universe, but now it turns out that she came to Earth for maybe a year or so and then went out to look for Vriska!

She really couldn't let it go...

But damn the Furthest Ring is looking REALLY bad, all those ghosts are getting sucked in!!! That doesn't look good at all.

Also, this means that they only found out about what was going on out there after two years of being on Earth!

Meanwhile, Jane's become MAYOR! Now THAT'S something I never expected! ...She's wearing WV's sash though.

Oh dear god.

I just realized we didn't see WV and PM anymore after the babies were dropped with them. Does that mean they remained behind when the others went 5000 years into the future, meaning that by now they're already DEAD? D:

Oh god that thought just made me sad.

ON TO SOME HAPPIER THOUGHTS.

Jane made a new CrockerCorp and became the leader of it!!!! FUCK YES! She finally 'inherited' the company she deserved, in a good way this time.

And JAKE! JAAAAAKE! He's created a new Skaianet! And he's wearing a Grandpa-like outfit!!!!! Oh man. He's going down the same route that his B1 self did, it seems! Pffff, he even appears on tv, to Karkat's regret.

And I just noticed that Jade's shirt is changing again! Now it's a pumpkin, and earlier on it was the atom! And then it becomes the devilbeast!

So is this perhaps Dave's new home? I mean, I see a SBAHJ welcome carpet, and a Ben Stiller poster... Are Dave and Karkat perhaps living together?

D'aww, John was all alone for his 19th birthday, before Jade came over. That's kind of sad, after how all his friends were still there on his two previous birthdays.

Meanwhile Rose and Kanaya are out at the Mother Grub!!!! THEY DID IT, they made the Mother Grub!! Hell to the fucking yes.

Ahahaha, I like how Rose is wearing the RL shirt.

And now we even know how the Wrigglers are 'born', as they exit their cocoons! Woooow.

Hehe, looks like the tradition of jadeblooded Trolls serving the Mother Grub continues. But there's a male there too now! Wearing Stiller shades, lol.

Jake and Dirk building robots together, hehe. I love how unamused Dirk is at Jake interrupting him for the selfie.

Meanwhile Calliope and Roxy!!! Looks like they're ruling over the Carapace kingdom. On a throne just like that of the queen! I love how it's a mix of Prospit and Derse that throne room.

N'aww, even the Carapacians want to wish John a happy birthday.

HUUUUUUUUUUUUUG.

Actually... I'm starting to wonder. Are Calliope and Roxy perhaps... a couple? I mean, there's no hints to John/Roxy in this flash, but there is a lot of Roxy/Calliope hints in here. I'd be pretty okay with that!

And then suddenly 20th birthday! It's really always John's birthday, isn't it.

Dang that sign is looking really bad after all those years (I only just remembered how it looks a lot like the sign Roxy had for Jane's birthday at her house, hehe).

And for his 20th birthday, John is all alone, and left to be reminded of his Dad who died 7 years ago. Awww.

For a few minutes, I interpreted it as B2 Dad having died, but I think plainWonder's suggestion is probably more correct, that John is simply reminded of HIS dad's passing.

Pfff, all those contacts though. I assume those emoticons are their "moods" like on Pesterchum... what do those hearts on Dave's account even mean? xD

Also fuck yes, 413, 612 and 1025 cameo right there! No 1111 though.

Also, WELP. CALIBORN. I didn't expect HIM to be one of John's contacts. So apparently he kept bugging our heroes after they went to Universe C!

And we end with a PERFECT tie-in to the Masterpiece.

So, Caliborn taunted John enough that he decided enough was enough, and then they went to confront him... and we know what happened after that.

AND THAT CON AIR REFERENCE.

Years ago when John and Caliborn met just before [S] GAME OVER, I thought Caliborn was going to do such a thing with Lil Seb, and was slightly disappointed when he didn't.

BUT NOW. HE DID.

HOMESTUCK ENDS WITH A FUCKING CON AIR REFERENCE, MY LIFE IS COMPLETE.

Wow... this was a motherload of information though. So much to process...

Not nearly everything got explained obviously, but a lot did!!!! This is a LOT more than I could have possibly dreamed of getting today for 10/25!

I can't help but notice though... there's kind of a sequel hook here.

I mean, Terezi went out to the Furthest Ring to find Vriska, and we all know how ambiguous that situation was left. Could there someday be some kind of sequel that focuses on what happens over there?

And same thing with what happens to John and his friends after their 20th birthday, after they probably go fight Caliborn. What's next for them?

Even if we never do find out, I'm perfectly pleased with this chunk of information we got now though.
