does anybody know when the servers will be up and in pesterchum will automatically connect to the new one? It was supposed to be down for "at least an hour" after it went down, which was supposed to be at three eastern. it went down at 3:10 eastern. but when will it be up? and is there anything special that will need to be done to connect or will pesterchum just connect to the new server on its own? |

everything should be working now, the netsplit was fixed and the servers were joined. pesterchum should connect to the new servers automatically for everybody; if it's not working for you try flushing your dns cache (ipconfig /flushdns on windows).

Please remember to pay special attention to the indentation when making the python script, though. The way that pastebin is formatted sometimes messes up the first line (basically all the lines of that script are indented once too much, and when you copy it, the first line often ends up not indented, while the rest remain indented). |

I happened upon this forum set this morning before work. You can't believe how excited I was to learn that Pesterchum was not, in fact, dead. I'm updating mine, and hoping that I can set up all my different Trollsonas, as well as my other various Chum/Chump handles. If I can manage to do this properly, my main 'in character' handle will be cardShark. I have a full character setup for a few others, but none are in the human group with CS. Hope you guys don't mind me ranting here... I tend to make text walls.

I didn't have contact with the updates, so I was using a version that was left behind. Eventually I stopped using it because to me, no one came online.
I'm just someone who didn't really keep up when I should have. I'm not even certain if the one I've updated to is up to speed with everyone else. Don't worry too much about me. I always find a new way to mess things up for myself, and then feel stupid when I finally get things right.
