Would it make sense to make a separate thread for discussing the troll call?

I personally feel it would be unnecessary, since that would mean this thread would go quiet while another thread is active, for only a finite period of time until the trollcall is finished. But maybe we can get some more opinions and make a group decision on that.

I saw some people saying the beekeeper was specifically removed because her creator drew porn of her. Lol. At least there's actual proof to the contrary to blow them out of the water. Gotta say, not a huge fan of these troll designs. They seem more like a bunch of fantrolls, less... at all reminiscent of the original designs in Homestuck.

Surprise! Another twofer.Though this one was at least a little more predictable than that other one. Assuming all other troll silhouettes are just one troll each, we have 13 weeks of trollcall still to go. In theory we should be exactly one week delayed from any previous predictions, but I can't actually find any previous predictions in this thread. Anyway, that day will be March 14.

Okay... So, to start with, I clean forgot to show last week's troll call. Or the week before that. I really dropped the ball guys, sorry. First, from back in December 27th, are these two. The one on the left was one of the ones that got leaked. That's the first one I missed. The second... These are from January 3rd. Which brings us, finally, to today's trollcall. Sorry again for the delay: But there was more to this announcement. To sum it up, it's a fancomic contest! Each week a winner and some runners up will be decided. And whenever this competition ends, one of the winners will get their fantroll featured in Hiveswap! And they won't even die immediately. This naturally brings up a few questions. Will the old fantrolls, who were donated at $10,000 each, still be in the game? Will the competition fantroll be with them in some way? Will the competition end with the trollcall? That should be about 9 weeks from now. If it does, though, that almost certainly means Hiveswap won't come out right away. They'd need time at least to design the fantroll and work them into the game. Will the fancomic competition end before the trollcall? Or, will a release date be announced at the end of the trollcall? Either way, this is all still pretty exciting. It is a really nice way to keep the live interaction with the fans throughout the production of Hiveswap lively and fun. This is basically the equivalent to being a serial Homestuck reader, and our opportunity to continue to shape the form the completed Hiveswap story will take. Anyway, I guess I better get started working on some fan comics.

Trollcall time! A bronzeblood apparently obsessed with flight and an olive conspiracy theorist/detective type. I love how her sign (Lelo, Prospit/Heart) is so specifically tailored to her aesthetic XD Oh, and in the interest of sharing, this is something I made for the Hiveswap comics contest. It's really not much, but I plan to make more of these along a similar sort of theme. I... don't... know? If this is the place to share fanart? Probably not?? I mostly just felt like covering it as long as I was posting here.

Troll call brings us another yellowblood and another teal, much like the very first week. The contest is also kicked off, with the first round of winners having been announced last week. Presumably this will continue until the troll call is done with, meaning ten first place winners in total will be placed in the final tournament to get their fantroll into the game.

Aaaaaaand it looks like I forgot to send trolls again. ono Sorry I suck at this so much okay let's do these quick The highblood momentarily had a hat with a sign on it, contrary to his hidden sign, which then disappeared. One of the runners-up fan comics was about that. This was the sign, but it apparently isn't his true sign. And these are the ones from yesterday. Pretty snarky, these ones. I enjoy them. Okay, we're caught up again. I'mma REALLY REALLY REALLY try not to mess this up again.

Look at this amazing pair. Azdaja might be one of my favorites so far. Also, there were some very good fancomics on the WP blog last week, which kinda gets me pumped for this week. Two weeks to go.

With the penultimate Troll Call we finally learn what that pole-like thing in Marsti's silhouette was. Turns out, it's cleaning supplies. No idea who the other guy is though.

That other new guy certainly is weird, isn'tt he? I mean, who even is he? So far, my favorite design is Ardata Carmia's. I was initially pretty weirded out by the third eye being RIGHT underneath the other one, but now that I've seen a bunch of sinister and sexy pieces of fan art (nothing lewd) of her, I'm starting to really like it. It's unique, that's for sure. This is my fave. I also find it pretty interesting that their is nonbinary trolls. I didn't really think gender was all that important of a thing in troll society so I didn't think any of them would really care enough to give themselves labels like that. *shrugs* Hmmm, pretty interesting.

Troll call! And someone beat me to it!!
I'm loving this new highblood. They're awesome. Them and Azdaja. I should draw them both at some point. I really should.
Oh, yeah, as was also pointed out elsewhere, if you count out ALL characters for the entire statement, including the spaces, "Who is this?" Is technically a valid troll name. Sort of.
One week to go. 3/14.

Sort of. ...Except if you count spaces than a "valid troll name" has 13 characters, not 12 (6 first name + 1 space + 6 last name).

So... This is the kind of thing I like not to talk about. I think it invites discourse I'd prefer we didn't have, so I like to focus on news and information most pertinent to the game itself. But I feel obligated to report information I hear about the game, even stuff like this, so. I guess I'll just leave this here. jamesroachmusic.tumblr.com/post/172097017952/im-guessing-not-but-is-there-anything-you-canTime will tell if there'll be any surprise trollcalls coming today.

So it would seem these two are looking for work. Which more than likely means they've concluded whatever work they were doing for Hiveswap Act 2. What this could mean beyond that fact, I don't really want to think about too much right now. But again, just felt I should relay what I hear down the grapevine.

Okay, kind of continuing this irrationally from where I posted it the other place. Sorry if that, err, wasn't the ideal way to transmit this news, but I just wanted to be quick about it and really didn't have a lot of time to be more thorough. I still don't really have time to fully investigate this, but I intend to when I get some more time tomorrow. First, this post. whatpumpkin.tumblr.com/post/172568836075/what-pumpkin-games-is-going-through-a-transitionI... yeah. I thought maybe we'd be done with this sort of thing after the first Act was released. I don't know if this means it didn't do well enough, or... what. I guess I shouldn't really speculate on it right now. This game intrigues me. Without knowing much about it beyond the premise stated in that post, it strikes me as something analogous to an "Intermission" of sorts between Acts. But like, maybe less obnoxious? I could probably do some research and find out what the deal is right away, but I'd actually like to play it for myself. So that's what I'll do. And then I'll probably talk more about it in the game discussion channel again. Plus, it's apparently written by Andrew himself, so I guess that's gotta be something of a silver lining. In the mean time... I guess this means we're in for more waiting, and more uncertainly about Hiveswap's future. That's... I'll think about that later. I'm not completely sad though. It's still 4/13. This is basically the biggest national fucking holiday to me. The best day of the year, no matter what. And I'm happy because no matter happens, I still get to talk about and be invested in the most special and amazing thing I've ever had the honor of getting to know, something that's radically changed my life for the better, something that's already been with me for over 6 years at this point. Even if all this shit seems frightening and depressing it's just the latest unfolding chapter in this epic, as well as in my own life, and I'm thankful to be taking part in this adventure, whatever form it takes. So happy 4/13 everyone, and let's see where this crazy ride takes us next

I forgot to share this here yesterday, but there's been an announcement about Friendsim Volume 2. The relatively identifiable silhouettes would give us Cirava Hermod and Amisia Erdehn as our two new friendship options. That's bound to be pretty interesting... By the way, the troll writing in the graphic there says pretty much the same as what the human writing beneath it does. "April 27 Friendsim Volume Two." That would be next Friday. I'm to understand further volumes will release as DLC to the first one, based on what the description for that game said. And based on what the blog post announcement said, it sounds like there will be more on the way after that. I doubt friendsim will cover ALL the trollcall, but I suppose it's not impossible. Really, if it gets to that point, they will somehow feel more familiar to us by then than Joey and Xefros do. And they'll probably all be minor characters playing bit parts in Act 2, for that matter. I should really replay the game to prepare myself before Volume 2 drops. That game... is definitely something that stands to be experienced more than one time.
