You cannot check your inventory because it is too dark. Oh well.
You immediately break into a sprint forward, but end up tripping over something fairly solid and falling flat on your face. Ow!
You get back up on your feet and carefully reach out until you feel a wall in front of you. It is damp, and made of some kind of brick, you walk slowly, feeling the wall, trying to find a switch. You don't come across anything so far. You hope it won't be too long.
Backstory is a wonderful novel full of memorable quotes. Unfortunately, you don't have access to it right now. Maybe when you get home, you can read its majesty again.
Grues are pieces of shit that you really don't want to come across. You begin to speed up your search, until you eventually find a switch. You flip it up and the sound of creaking metal fills the room. Dim light fills the room along with it, coming from a hatch of some sort that just opened in the middle of the floor, revealing a . You can now see your surroundings better. You are in some sort of underground chamber. You have no idea how you got in here, since it is literally a box. There is no obvious door on any side. The only way forward is down the stairs.
What will you do?

BE CAREFUL! Stairs can be quite hazardous, especially in low-light conditions...

ALright, alright! No need to be rude about it. You start to head do-
Jesus! Do these spirits of the dead think you're gonna catapult yourself down the stairs? You shake your head and continued down the stairwell.
You were hired by an older man in his forties to rescue a companion of his that was locked away in this cave deep in some wood. You had ventured into said cave after a fuck ton of monster battles...and that's the last thing you remember. You have no clue how you got into this weird cavern thing. So, you have no idea how you'll escape it either.

You arrive at the bottom of the steps. There is a long corridor with doors all along the walls., including on at the far end. What will you do?

You open the first door on your left. It leads into a short hallways that curves to the left and then continues strait into darkness. Before heading on, you decide other check the other doors.
All the doors are pretty much made from the same dark wood. None of them look more interesting that the others, although a couple of the doors seem to be locked when you try them. The most interesting thing about them makes them impassable.
You pick a door at random, the one third to the right. This one leads into a room with a whole slew of items scattered on the ground: an empty bottle, a mysterious wrapped parcel, and a suspicious-looking stick.
What will you do?

Change what to what? You have no idea what that means. Hopefully someone gets on that, though, whatever it is....
You go back out of the room, taking the parcel with you. There are nine other doors, 11 in total. Four doors lead into hallyways, one leads to a stairwell leading further down, one room has a floor coated in silver liquid and two doors require keys. The rest lead into empty rooms. You look at the parcel. It's a rectangular...something wrapped in beige parchment paper with a piece of twine tying the package together. It's fairly hefty...maybe it's some sort of spellbook? You unwrap the paper, curious. Nope, it's just some autobiography of a name you don't recognize. Why the book is so thick for an autobiography, you will never know. You decide to keep it on you for now....you might find some use for it as kindling later. As you open your knapsack, you peer inside and- great! It looks like you were either too stupid to bring anything or someone stole all of your items while you were unconcious. Brilliant.
INVENTORY: Autobiography
