Shadow of the Lotus. Also often called Lotus. Used to be very, very active until I stopped posting. I... used to be known for making cross-stitches and doing insane detailed-oriented tasks? Whether it was organizing a directory of all homestuck fanfictions, analyzing the word count of pester conversations acts 1 - 4, or my shipping essay? Honestly, my memories of you seem centered the classpect thread, but I'm not sure if my memory can be trusted. That, and the giant John X Rose essay you typed up once, but that was before my time. I don't recall spending a ton of time in the classpect thread, but it's always possible I was involved. There wasn't really anything I wasn't involved in Acts 1 - 5. Early on, I spent a TON of time in the fan-art thread. There was a good group of like, 15 people that were super involved in those threads early on. It used to be forum tradition for the last 5 pages of the thread to be filled with nothing but our random bullshit. We'd always stop at page 100. And sing "don't stop believing!" while posting stop signs. I think one time we posted trains crashing for some reason, I forget why. And Gankro made the first 5 threads I think? Or 6? I remember it was a semi big deal the first time he didn't make the thread. Telamon and I, goodness, that was quite the rivalry friendship back in the day. Him and his fufu and chuchu avatar. I never drew anything. And back then it was all about the sprite edits, I DID make those. Though they were awful. Let me see if I can't find one of my early 'fanarts.' Or 'farts' as we used to call them (Telamon's idea). Hm... nah. I have a backup on my external hard drive but nothing on this computer. Maybe I'll post something later. I was super involved in the theory thread. And the general chat crew. I started the fan-fiction thread and started it the first three times. Did a massive endeavor to categorize and link to every fan-fiction ever written which took forever. I think I did something like that with fanart too, earlier. Jesus, that brings me back. I was the earliest one to do statistical analysis on Homestuck. I was interested in looking at the word count of conversations. John/Rose dominated the first four acts. That's on my external drive too, but not on my computer. I DO still have my update average charts. That was a later endeavor. The shipping essay was a big deal at the time. Quite the fight with BKEW over that. The forum had taken a nasty turn with Vriska introduced as a character and I hated the general vibe of how things had changed. People were mean and bullies. And honestly, just jackasses. But the point of the essay was always meant to be sort of a super irony, Dave-esque effort. It was completely legitimately written. Which was the point of why it was ridiculous. It was written with full understanding that a legitimate, honest-to-goodness research paper (and it was a research paper) written about John/Rose was ridiculous. It was meant to both make fun of and ridicule the pseudo-science that BKEW pretended to do about romantic speculation while also being a fully-focused and legitimate attempt to do the very thing he pretended to do. I stayed up for 15 hours straight, researched it in full (going through the entire comic, gathering evidence, forming an argument), and wrote the entire 15 page things (with citings made in hyperlink and the argument detailed in like, 5 sections I think?) in 15 hours straight. Skipped sleep that night. Just completely and fully dedicated to a graduate-level dissertation on why John/Rose could work in the narrative. Never claimed it was likely, just that Andrew had left the question open-ended enough that it should be considered as a legitimate development the comic could have and not ridiculed as impossible. Did my intent fully get across? Most people just saw it as "holy shit, 15 pages of bullshit on JOhn/Rose. What a madman." And it was an honest-scholarly attempt to argue John/Rose. But it was meant to say "BKEW. Stop being an ass with the rom spec thread. You're arguments are bullshit disguised as science and you're driving the fun out of speculation." And honestly, the entire vibe of the forum just drove me off. It stopped being fun. (that, and my doctoral studies required a bit more attention). But this is fun again.

I'm wheals. I've been around since Act 5 Act 2 started. I started on the forums, but when I re-started reading (I took a break from Act 6 Act 3 to Act 6 Act 6) I drifted over more to the reddit, though I started visiting the forums more, until they went down. So here I am. I had a different scriblette avatar to this one on the official forums but I couldn't find a backup of the image on my computer. And honestly, the entire vibe of the forum just drove me off. It stopped being fun. (that, and my doctoral studies required a bit more attention). But this is fun again. It's a funny thing; I mentioned that essay to someone JUST yesterday, in the context of John/Rose once upon a time being a ship that existed. Good to see you back. Personally, I liked the Romspec threads. It was nice to have a place to (over-)analyze in depth, even if most of the theories were bullshit. I always felt like BKEW's theories did have some of that aspect of self-awareness that the essay did. Admittedly I was never all that involved in the fandom back then, at least compared to now.

Hello, call me Candor. I've been a member of the old forum for... shit, years I guess. I wouldn't say I'm known for all that much. Just some internet words guy typing words into the internet from time to time.

Oh, there's a presentations thread. Hi, I'm Lyla from the forums. I had a Karkat avatar that I drew. I also drew the current avatar, because I liked recent upd8s and thought this one was fitting. I'm 23, I live in Italy and... I dunno, I draw a lot. Sup people.

Hi everyone. I've never been very successful at breaking into serious activity on the forum, but I've been around a while (from email history I can see I registered back in 2010). I've done a bit of fanart but nothing that I suspect anyone would remember--the only real thing of note is that I contributed some pixel art to the last walkaround. It's funny to think, but I suppose this introduction is also a bit of a goodbye, given the point we're at. But whatever we all go on to do, it's been a real pleasure to share a fandom with you all.

Hello this is Holly from the regular forums! Of course I had to join the shiny new one and I'm glad to see we have so many members already! I might not post much, but I love reading people's reactions! I joined the forum and fandom in 2011 which means I've been around for a while I guess? Actually this week is the anniversary of me starting to read Homestuck. wowie 5 year ago Anyway, I do fanarts sometimes, and am super not ready for Homestuck to be over.
Also I didn't realize the member titles were customized by Blap, they're really good haha *thumbs up*

Hello, I've not been much active on the forums, but I've been a huge fan of Homestuck since 2013; I love time travel, parallel universes and meta-narrative, so it just plucked all the right strings. All of them.

Hi I'm Octa and am fairly new to Homestuck compared to a lot of people. I properly got into Homestuck in January 2014 not too far into the Gigapause although I've known about Homestuck since 2011. I've been an occasional lurker on the forums but I thought what with Homestuck actually ending in a week (dear god) I'd finally sign up and say hello. As you can probably tell from my avatar Equius is my patron troll and I love him.

I'm Kidror, I started reading Homestuck before Cascade (the first update after I caught up was the *snop* *unsop* one) and between Cascade and Act 6 I joined the fora, was active for a while and then went to being really on and off and then not active at all and now I have returned. Apparently Cascade was a long time ago which is weird because to me it really does feel like it was just the other day we were deciphering the B2 kids openings, and trying to figure out how Lusii were on Jakes island.
EDIT: I'm also a member of the Video Strike Team for Desert Bus For Hope

Hey! I'm OJ. I've been reading Homestuck since John fell asleep on the roof after getting the download about the Seven Gates. I was registered on the MSPA forums shortly after (I think... December 2009?), and was really quite active for a while. Then I drifted off to AU projects and suchlike. I figure this is a good time to get reinvolved. You can find my Tumblr right over here, and I've been writing a tabletop RPG sourcebook for the Replay Value AU of Homestuck recently -- I think I'll start a new thread for that.

Hello everyone.
I'm "King Cobalt" on the old forums. I started way back in 2011 with Fantroll RPing, and after the RP section was nuked I stuck around mainly to lurk as a fanventure reader. I joined this forum in hopes that some of the fanventure authors find their way here.

Hello people! I was waiting to make an account until absolutely necessary, and I think with all the information nice people have been sharing it's about time to lay down stakes. I'm iP, I used MSPA forums to host forum adventure Lucidstuck, and MSPA custom furniture sprites. I only really used those two threads for all the time i've been apart of mspa which was about 3 1/2 years. Luckily me and some others were able to jump ship to a new forum and will be there (I guess permanently until further notice) I may reopen the sprite thread here though if people still like making MSPA shit, I'll be lurking about till then.

Not sure if it's useful, but I found out about this place from a long tumblr rant.

Hey, I'm nakAratoo. Just some guy from back when MSPAF had an RP section. Kinda sad to see the old forums sink bit by bit, can't say I saw it coming.
If anyone's planning on bringing that bit of the MSPA life back, I'd be ecstatic, shoot me a PM.
