I can't believe tomorrow's update really is the end, given that there's still a fair number of things to be resolved that I find hard to cram into two pages plus dialogue that we can't just let not happen. Why is Jane being so ignored by the narrative? It's so weird how much she's ignored. She was supposed to be the protagonist of the alpha kids! Is she meant to deconstruct the traits common in protagonists like this? |

I'm little bit disappointed, that there's no full Crockbert reunion, but let's assume it happened offscreen. So, Samwise and Frodo PM and WV are going to throw the ring into Mt. Doom Forge. They're so close and there's nothing that could go wrong...  In all seriousness, though, it looks like we're in for an eventful Act 7. Oh... No, none of them couldn't do that. BTW I'm curious what Gollum Jack is up to right now (except bleeding out)? My prediction:  |

Guys... we're so close to the end now. But I just want to say that it's been a blast to get to know you people in the past 5.5 years, always there to discuss Homestuck. Even now that the original forums aren't there. Thank you all for this amazing ride! I hope you all enjoy the 4/13 update! But uh, if it's gonna be really large, it might turn out I'm not capable of fully completing my readthrough of the update yet tomorrow. So I might not show up again until 4/14 or something. Also, it kind of sucks, but I won't be able to read the final update until tomorrow evening. Assuming he updates at midnight again, that's over half a day with that update being there but me unable to look at it! Same here  Seems they're aiming for a midnight release again, according to paperseverywhere. Less than 12 hours to go to the end, guys. This was one hell of a ride... Oh shiiiiiiiiiiit! The last static panel (which may very well be the last static panel in Homestuck, aside from maybe a THE END page) seems significant to me though--a big white circle could mean a LOT of things, and that IS the way Act 7 has been represented in a lot of places. The symmetrical black dots feel visually reminiscent of something too, but I'm not sure what... seeds maybe? Oh god I didn't even realize yet that this could POSSIBLY be the last static panel. Holy shit that feels weird. I never thought PM would be one of the last characters to be shown in a static panel, hehe. Oh man, you do make a sweet analysis there though. I'm pretty sure that's just an extreme close up of PM's face. Oh, I know that's what it ACTUALLY is. I just meant that the framing of the panel seems like it was probably done as a kind of visual call-forward to the various circles that are about to be important in Act 7--the white circle representing the act itself, skaia, the ring of cracks around the green sun, the green sun, various black holes, etc. The point about the eyes is probably reading into it too much, though. I'm just excited  It does bear a resemblance to the end of the Collide flash though. So, does anyone know if GCat's creation has been taken care of yet? The Act 6 Act 6 Intermission 1 opening flash suggested that Jane took care of it when she was still under mindcontrol. The question remains how the Frog Temple meteor ended up going through a Skaian portal though. |

Why is Jane being so ignored by the narrative? Hussie is clearly aware of the way in which Jade has been shafted by the narrative, and even managed to write it into the story, although you can argue that it was a copout. I'm almost certain he's aware of how Jane has been similarly shafted. Consider this: After the events of the Masterpiece, the four alpha kids will be stranded on Caliborn's dead(?) planet, which also happens to be their dead planet, without their heroes. This seems like a fitting fate for the Nobles. And if my theory is correct that John's current Trickster Mario romp through the story is indeed supposed to recall the moral of the previous Trickster arc, it would also serve as a parallel to the alpha kids' feelings jam at the end of A6A5, when they're alone in their otherwise empty crypts. I think this would be the perfect time for Jane to get a lot of dialogue. Oh, also, my reaction to the upd8: Hahaha they're so fucked. |

Guys. Thank you. You've been an amazing fandom to be part of. I've received so much from watching Homestuck and the various spin-offs in fanworks and other media. It's been such a great source of creativity, and incentive to explore new things, like social media (which Tumblr still is), art programs (GIMP) and vector graphics (my scalemate, imp, squiddle and cuttlefish generators). I've been so inspired like I almost never have been by other sources of media, the major exception being Pokémon. And I know that even though the story ends, the impact is real: Undertale, Paradox Space, and all the artists, both of the drawn and music arts, that I've come to known, and their various works, will remain here to be explored further. I may know only a few of you better than most, and a rare few by name, but you've made Homestuck into something MORE. Best of all, I've been able to share the experience for the last... 5 and a half years, apparently, with the one and only Blaperile, my brother. That's the kind of fortune no boondollar can buy nor Thief steal. I'm pretty sure that's just an extreme close up of PM's face. Oh, I know that's what it ACTUALLY is. On the topic of Jane: It is my humble opinion that she will prove CRUCIAL to the finale, perhaps more so than any other character. She has so much development yet to be fulfilled, and the theme song for the ENTIRE COMIC is associated with her (Act 6 flash).

I can't believe the end is finally here! I've been waiting over 7 years for this... (Homestuck Beta represent!) Crazy at how much the world has changed since Homestuck started, and on a more personal scale, how much I've changed, and how Homestuck has influenced my life. I'm going to miss waiting for the updates, but on the other hand, I'm glad it's ending so we can start to move on. I'm especially going to miss the massive theorizing of the fandom, and the fevered discussion of what's to come. We made it, guys.

Tomorrow’s update might be out already by tomorrow morning in my time zone, but I have to get up to be at university for 9 until 12, then I have to see some of the staff, and my brother and sister are off school this week so I might have difficulty finding a place where I can watch/read in peace…I’lll have to resist the urge to look at Tumblr until then.
I'm worried that there will be so much left unresolved because I've seen people say Act 7 is only 2 pages, and unless they're really long flash pages or walkarounds...Although, Hussie did say that tomorrow's update would have the whole of Act 7, he didn't say anything about what it wouldn't have. There could be an Intermission 3 first, where most things are resolved before the end. Or Maybe there will be an epilogue in the form of Act 8. I just hope he knows what he's doing.

Homestuck itself already proved MSPA is an outdated format. Since commands stopped being a thing and it became more of a regular epic than a parody of adventure games.
I want Hussie to keep making webcomics though. Not necessarily in the MPSA format, but just keep writing and drawing comics. Him just making games doesn't sound as cool, because Hiveswap is more of a spin-off than a main course, imo.

And there are currently one White Queen, one White Queen's Ring, two White King's Scepters, one Black Queen, one Black Queen's Ring, one Black King's Scepter, one robot bunny, and a bunch of extra Carapacians and Consorts (of varying levels of pottential relevancy) still technically unaccounted for, not to mention that Humanimal Butler who may-or-may-not be Aurthour, the Brobots, and the Zilly Brobots. Any guesses as to what, if anything, they might end up doing?
Also, did they ever get around to sending past!Jake the weapons for Liv Tyler?

I hope these forums are still around if MSPA Forums don't come back, and we can still talk about anything to do with Homestuck and maybe the fan adventures, I know I don't post a lot on the forums but it's still good to read through a lot of things. And I hope if MSPA Forums does come back, it'll stay, that no one will take it away just because they don't see a need for it anymore, I think it will always be needed.

This has been a wonderful ride and I couldn't be happier to see it through to the end with all of you. Haha, yeah! I can just see it now:" Act 7 Quarantine Thread". I feel your pain Blap. Wednesdays are stupidly busy for me and I am most likely not going to be able to read the update until after 5 at the latest, and that's probably gonna be while I take onion measurement. Not the most exciting way to spend the end of Homestuck. |
