Are we still free to continue the adventure once the contest ends? (Win or lose that is) Yep, that's always been allowed and encouraged in U4Gs. Inevitably, several won't continue after the contest due to author interest waning, but there are always at least a handful that keep going for a long while afterward. |

Yes. You are free to either end your adventure, or continue your adventure at the end of the contest.
The general preference is to continue -> as more adventures are seen as a good thing.
However, the end-all deciding factor is "Is it a good idea for you, the author, to continue it?". Sometimes real life gets busy, sometimes you are just not into that project, or the enthusiasm fades. Ultimately, do what's best for you. Don't let something you love turn into something you hate.
If you do love the adventure, and you have more you want to show, then great. If not, that's fine too.

Yo, so if I wanted to pick a suggestion from the Adventure Plots Up For Grabs, could I still do that even if this started already? If so, do I have to put the U4G thing before the thread name, and would I be allowed to compete? Also, are text adventures allowed? And if so, how does the fan art thing work? Would the authors have to write fanfiction if they lost? For reference, this is the prompt I was interested in Three Cats Three Days Three Demons Sorry for all the questions and stuff, but being new I'm still trying to get used to how these forums work and all. |

Sorry, but sign-ups ended on the 17th, so you can't participate in the contest. You can still go ahead and use an idea from the U4G thread, though! Adding [U4G] in the thread's title was just so I can keep track of participant threads, so you don't have to add it in if you're not competing. Text adventures are allowed, and for the fan art thing, I'm going to quote rule 2 from the [HSHS] thread: To summarize, it's too late for you to join, but you can still use an idea from the Up For Grabs thread while the contest is running |

Her tentacles and melting face l ook great today. She gives you a sloppy kiss and adds a tally mark to the number of face bacteria humans she has made insane. I'm hoping to write an update to Death by Salt tonight, but I'm a bit short on suggestions. I'd really love to have a large variety of monster character suggestions before I commit on a design for the main character, so I urge people to stop by and write something up! |

Got my thread up! Lunar DreamsIt's a good learning experience. It's hard finding text colors that don't blind the readers, but stay distinct. I compromised by coloring the speaker, but the words stay black. |
