The machine looks at ThatOtherGuy and says "It's not that interesting, I literally sat at the bottom of the San Pablo Bay for about 80 years."
However, quickly getting back to business, the machine grabs another object from his toolbox. He grabs out some pH paper, and runs up to the liquid horror. He dips the pH paper in the horror and hits it with the old rusted cane and runs off, taking note of what color the paper turned.

Annis was busy sleeping whilst solving the riddles. You see, Annis can't actually come up with anything resembling human solutions to riddles, and thus skips them whenever she sees. This is going to get her back sometime soon. However, murder? Murder, horrific, brutal? Whilst human puzzles aren't things Annis understands, dreamworld puzzles, and the abuse of story telling in warfare? Annis loves that. Annis whispers something in EADollis's ear, before Annis gets back, and EADollis chants, letters connecting upon letters to form a song, a Holy Name of God.
