Cool, that newspost. It's nice to read Andrew's familiar meandering discourse. "unreal stunts on the tenthooks" has potential to be the new "sick beats" or "acrobatic pirouette off the handle". Yes, that was very good. That sneaky reference to the shot of Andrew visiting the stable, heheheh. Only people that have heard about Homestuck's YouTube channel will get that. So, only the people who watched Act 6 Act 6 Act 6 and/or Act 7, then?

I bet the epilogue will be released next 4/13. Come to think of it, that's very feasible. Judging by Andrew's continued passive nature on it, maybe even not that soon. Speaking of, it's amazing that would even qualify as "soon". In a funny way, the six months since the story ended have really snuck up on me.

I bet the epilogue will be released next 4/13. When Homestuck had just ended my guess was that 4/13 would be the earliest possible date. Now that Andrew's revealed he's only been making some notes yet and nothing else, and that he still has the same plan of prioritizing his other projects, I personally doubt it will be ready in 6 months from now. I think I'm adjusting my guess to next 10/25 at the earliest now. I think it's funny you're persistently optimistic about most stuff regarding Homestuck but not at all about the epilogue release date.

Never. @ The One Guy Dude, the formatting on your post is all fucked up and I can't properly quote and respond to it. You might want to fix that. How many examples are there of Hussie outright intentionally lying about something like that, though? He "trolls" significantly less than people say he does, especially about stuff like what he's working on. Sure, sometimes he's coy about stuff or does a poor job of estimating how long it will take to create content, but this is him outright saying "I am not focusing on it right now". Don't get me wrong, it'd certainly be nice if he were secretly working on the epilogue and getting ready to surprise us by dropping it in a couple of weeks or months, but if he's said multiple times that it's not a priority for him then it doesn't make a lot of sense to get your hopes up. He's been working on Homestuck for 7 years, I'd be ready to turn my focus towards other creative projects too. And hell, maybe there's a logical reason for him to hold off on showing the epilogue until we've seen stuff like Hiveswap or the "post-canon content". At this point that's the main thing I'm curious about, so I'm personally content to wait for the epilogue to come when it's good and ready.

Andrew has often underestimated how long something will take before it's done. The fact that he's only been taking notes on the Epilogue so far and doesn't even provide a possible date just doesn't make me think it's coming any time soon. If there's anything I've learned from the past years of waiting, it's that usually things get released later than my first guess.

Personally, I think it might come out on Four-Thirteen, just not this one.

I mean, he probably has some plan for the content of the epilogue, and probably already did long before the ending. He just, has not been working on it. Like usual with parts of the comic that are a long ways off.

My wording was flawed but I was referring specifcally to his theory that the 'ending' as we know it has been and still is one big psycheout in progress and the epilogue or perhaps post-canon content will be the "true ending" that those disappointed with the ending have been waiting for.

Oh yeah, does anyone still believe that? What would that even be? Like, what would happen if there was a psycheout? There is not really that much further for the story to go.

So, only the people who watched Act 6 Act 6 Act 6 and/or Act 7, then? Touché. That was a bit too general, but you know: I'm sure some people are scratching their heads over that sentence with not the foggiest clue there's footage of Andrews awkward attempts at petting. They're missing out.

Like, what would happen if there was a psycheout? There is not really that much further for the story to go. Well, a lot of people do still think English won, myself included. I don't think the ending was a psycheout, but if Hussie did choose to go that route, I could see the ending being followed by a big twist where it's revealed exactly how everything fell into LE's master plan, and the protagonists have to formulate a strategy to truly defeat him, putting all of the Chekhov's guns together, wrapping up all the loose ends, and fulfilling all of the ignored foreshadowing. I think that would be great, and would fit really well with the symbolism of the cherub chess game and the "you can't use magic jujus to magically fix all of your problems" foreshadowing, and would probably make almost everyone stop being salty about the ending. But, I don't think Hussie is actually planning on doing it.

That's page 2239, or Dave's phat beat machine, way back in act 2.

Ever since Act 7 happened I kind of thought it was a given the epilogue would be the real ending.

Really? I said it was page 2239... Well, here. www.mspaintadventures.com/?s=6&p=002238Oh, oops, I meant page 2238 apparently. Coughs quietly... Anyway, it actually loaded itself automatically after a while, without me reloading the page. To add to this mystery.

Actually, now on page 2318 another flash, I noticed it says the word Loading, which come to think of it I don't think these old ones used to do (later on in act 4 and beyond the percentage counter showed up). Has Andrew been restructuring the site behind the scenes I wonder?
