Well it started here: omegaupdate.freeforums.net/thread/343/threadstuckAnd it's currently in 5 or so threads (none of which are the original), most notably Empty Overworld/Abandoned Isle but minor influences in a lot of other ones It's pretty cool

I like how it's turned into an entire ARG, and I want to get more involved in it, but I'm worried about how the OTHER people will feel. Also, there's the fact that my online persona is basically Strife-retardant Incarnate and super overpowered when it comes to combat or showdowns of any kind, so direct confrontation of any kind involving him is almost always incredibly short.
Edit: I have a question of my own to ask. How do you guys handle buff events that works effectively count as flashes if dive in the homestuck format. I've so far been doing it such that I sort of write out the script for the events therein in one massive cutscene (see: Omegasplit EoA1) but I'm not certain if I should try to do something else or what.
If it helps at all, my hope is to eventually have people willing to help on the art and music fronts and eventually do those flashes as actual things.

OK, so I've been so sick that Ive been basically immobile for a while, and that's been stopping me from updating. I was finally getting better and I fell down a flight of stairs (:y), and now I can barely walk untill it heals, which unluckily for me, means I can't really get to the computer I work at for now.
Call me Vriska's best friend, because I am not having any luck.

I hope you get better soon. I have more experience with that sort of thing than I'd like to admit, make sure you eat and drink enough.

I haven't read it because I'm not into anime. Take out the anime and I'll give it a shot i mean i can't exactly do that, and also what do you mean by take out the anime? it's just the plot of an anime except played by homestucks, and also a canon-native john walks into the weird universe and helps them out <---- this john to be specific anyways you might not like it anyways if you're not an anime guy

This will be the last call for attention to the ThreadStuck retrieval operation team. I can't tell if people don't get it or don't want to participate, but it's been a few days and as far as I know only one post has been made. True to my word I have not read it. While a victory by attrition is still a victory I had some really cool stuff planned that involves people actually getting involved. By the end of the weekend, ThreadStuck will be updated. Whether it's the start of story 3 or it's a collaborative effort to reign him in is up to you guys.

It's almost certainly going to be the former. I'm the only one who's shown any serious interest in the "Threadstuck goes rogue" thing, and as cool an idea is, Threadstuck's just been incredibly annoying on the other threads more than anything. I think this particular plot idea is a bust.

I do agree that it's mostly outlived its usefulness. That's why I tried to bring this to an end but in a way that I thought would be more fun and actually with some in-story reasoning.

Is there some sort of proper etiquette when it comes to rapidly flashing .gifs or parts of a video that might trigger photosensitive epilepsy in adventures? I'm not sure if I should hide it behind a warning spoiler and risk losing a bit of flow to the reading for accessibility, include a foreword at the start of the adventure that it may contain such visuals, or what?

I think as long as it only reaches the flashy level you might see in homestuck it's ok to just go along with it, but a warning before hand might be nice.

I hope no one actually reads Househeld on its mirror before I post it on the forums, because I mainly use that as a dumping ground for the rough drafts in my head

*slides in thread* so how's everyone's adventure going? i'm trying to catch up with all the updates and new fanventures that i missed in the past 2 months suddenly there's like a million new canwc albums and updates, a trillion Forumstuck updates, hexane is suddenly returning, and wow so many new cool fanventures in the cradle? holy heck?? i've missed the forums so much??? i've been working on oceanfalls' update, i hope i can finish it before next week also i hope somebody's still interested in my almost dead adventure ;-;
anyway, i have a question. do you guys cut your adventure's story arcs into acts? how many pages do you put in a single act? also, do you add intermissions between acts in your fanventure? i want to end my adventure's equivalent of act 1, but i'm not sure how i'd go about doing that, so i thought i'd see everyone's methods... P:

P: Welcome back; I'm excited to hear you're working on Oceanfalls again! I cut all of my adventures into Acts (or Chapters, in Runecrossed's case). Sweet Hella Quest's three acts are 86, 114, and (so far) 134 pages, respectively. Synodic Reboot's Act 1 is about 170 pages, with Act 2 planned to be considerably longer. I feel Acts should generally become longer than previous ones as the adventure goes on, but then again, I'm not sure if there's a good reason I feel this way. Maybe just the expectation that as more characters and plotlines are introduced, things would become more in-depth, requiring longer acts? Not sure. As for Intermissions, so far I've only done one, between Acts 1 and 2 of Synodic Reboot, but it's rather short and not officially titled as an Intermission. So I'm not sure if it really counts? Ah well. Either way, just do what you feel fits your adventure best!
