Examining the hallways before me, I choose the one with the least guardbots in it and smash my way through with the shield and hammer, before turning around to block the incoming fire. I continue to back quickly down the hallway until the bots are out of range, checking behind me every so often to avoid any nasty ambushes.
I also take one of the sharper bits of scrap metal and scrape the wall as I go, leaving a nice trail so I know where I've been. Let's explore, shall we?
(also: how many hallways split off from this main corridor?)

Okay, I've been going back and forth, and between the VERY nasty bout of post-election blues and me being actually physically sick with something, I'm not feeling up to updating as of right now.
We are officially on mini-hiatus, which shall end when I'm not sick anymore.

I did not at all realize this had updated. I will edit this post with my turn within 24 hours. My apologies, everyone.
EDIT: Well that took longer and made me more tired than I thought. Maybe I'll be able to work on this today?
EDIT[Yes I Can!]: I briefly ponder why a Lone Tire: Hp: ?/? is an ally, and then thank Conair for the revival. I then focus on using my Metal Baseball Bat to defend nearby Allies from attack. Mainly by playing Jedi-Dodgeball-Baseball, but still.

The Hiatus is over. I take the EMP grenade, put the wire around it for extra MAGIX and keep it for later. If the wiring will make it detonate instantly, I keep the wires separately. You take the wire and EMP grenade to make the Industrial EMP i take the flashlight and combine it with the obsidian claymore, just incase it gets dark in the future. i then take the double machine gun and start shooting at the metal crawler while trying to dodge bullets and the metal crawler itself. You attempt to combine the flashlight and obsidian claymore, but without rope, "GM Fiat" stops you. As such your inventory remains full and you don't shoot anything. But you DO avoid the incoming bullets. Goldurned glitches... I play Whack-A-Turret with the sword. You play whack-a-turret, taking out the last plasma turret. You also take 50 damage from charging straight through the enemies to get to it with no regard for your own life. (also: how many hallways split off from this main corridor?) You smash through another guardbot, cover your back and begin wandering. You immediately do something clever and leave a trail behind yourself, but as you are wandering... you run into a trio of armed hoverbots blocking your way! (I have no clue, I'm making this up as I go along.) I go back to smash the remaining turrets, before using SUPER ANIME THINKING SKILLS to tell everyone that there is probably a bunch of cool laser stuff to craft with on the conveyor belts You smash the last two turrets. And take 30 damage because anime or no, there's lot of bullets that you just sort of ignored. This also completely ruins your cape, causing you to lose your overpowered perk. The lone tire is not an ally. It's just me putting goofy stuff in empty sections. You begin deflecting bullets, but a baseball bat isn't enough... you reduce the damage that you and trickle take this round... but you're slowly losing ground. The metal crawler, being the biggest and most in the way thing takes 40 damage from reflected bullets. Trickle and timetech both take 20 damage from incoming bullet fire, conair and odd both take 40 because not paying attention. Odd is promptly run over by the Metal crawley and dies. The guardbots from the hallway that melonlord ran through charge into the room! You're surrounded! And you think you hear more reinforcements coming... You are presented with 3 options: Move into hallways after melonlord: may give you small amounts of individual weapons for loot, but easiest (unless everyone picks it, if more than 4 people come this way you'll attract more attention and things will be more difficult. That being said, you could also try going the OTHER way, as both forcefields are down now. Split between both of those no difficulty spiking will happen.) Try to somehow get to the assembly lines below: will give you decent amounts of loot for crafting, but slightly harder than the above option. Stand your ground: Will not only give you special items in the roulette should you last long enough, but if you manage to beat all the waves you might even get a few legendary items. By far the hardest option. (This will be long, difficult, and probably result in everyone just dying instead.) Items: rerolling next round Smooth Marble Broadsword: It's probably at least a little magic, otherwise this'd be basically useless. If the hoverbots are within reach, I give em the ol' hammer treatment.
If they're floating too far away to reach, I hold my shield overhead and dash underneath them, continuing my search onwards for some kind of exit and/or treasure.
Regardless of which action I take, I also observe them to try and figure out how they're flying, if there's time. Is it propellers? Rockets? Magnets?
And of course I continue to leave my trail behind me.

Is right now too late to join in? Because if it isn't, then I would like to join in. It is NEVER too late to join in. Welcome to the madhouse I stand my ground, which will probably vaporize me... I pick up the Marble Broadsword, rub it on myself to get at least a bit of MAGIX, and attempt to slay the easiest enemy here. You grab the marble broadsword, rubbing it on your skin makes your skin cold, nothing more. Magic doesn't usually rub off like that. You attempt to do a slaying of a guardbot and successfully deal 45 damage to it! I look for a stick or similarly shaped object. if I find one, I start carving on it with a piece of scrap metal/pocket knife. I do this while hiding in a corner Sadly, the entire area is devoid of wood, but the scrap metal pile does have a metal rod. You get the metal rod and scrap metal knife. I gun the machine gun turrets down with the double machine gun. Irony! You completely fill out your inventory by taking the double machine gun, which you proceed to destroy both of its brethren with using that sweet, sweet infinite ammo sign. I investigate my surroundings. I also grab some pepperoni from my pockets. Literally all of my pants have a pepperoni pocket in them. You are on a large walkway with huge windows to either side overlooking a massive array of assembly lines in some kind of factory. There are two doors, one more heavily guarded than the other. Everything is chaotic. Pepperoni is not a retrievable item! Please select from the item roulette below instead. (( what? you let me combine the swords without rope. you let me combine the gear and the staff. whut)) I attempt to jump onto the metal crawler and attack it form where it cannot attack me. The swords was sort of merging them, I will admit the combining is arbitrary, but the result of combining the flashlight and sword, in my head at least, very prominently features whatever the flashlight is tied on with. You jump onto the back of the metal crawler and begin to smash at it, dealing 75 damage. They appear to be flying with propellors. Which seems really stupid because it's pretty obvious there's better tech available. Regardless, the first hoverbot goes down with one smack. tricklejest gets shot a lot, barely hanging on to life with 10 health, timetech, telaxius and con air get shot a little bit less for 50 damage each (con air dies again), joebob goes unnoticed in the corner, odd is dead and thus does not get shot (however, due to lack of having been revied his inventory is wiped. He will respawn as soon as he posts), while sailor uses the metal crawler as a shield causing it to take 25 damage. melonlord successfully blocks the pea-shooter shots of the hoverbots with their shield. All the bots continue opening fire into the group in the hallway, the guard bots specifically trying to hit sailor. The metal crawler spins about wildly smacking into the windows/walls trying to shake him off. Players: theoddisee: REZ/300 HP (Inventory: The Pendulum (legendary)) (Traits: Tanky) conair: DED/200 HP (Inventory: Beacon (legendary), Rocket Powered Sword, Tire, Naginata) full! (Perks: Jumpy) Tricklejest: 10/200 HP (Inventory: Industrial EMP, Smooth Marble Broadsword) melonlord: 200/200 HP (Inventory: Spiked helmet, Razor Tower Shield, War Handmer) Telaxius: 150/200 HP (Inventory: Empty) joebob: 200/200 HP (Inventory: metal rod, scrap metal knife) Allies: *lone tire rolls past* Unaligned: *crickets* Enemies: (reinforcements coming in 1 round) open exit Guardbots x4: Hp: 100/100 Guardbot: Hp: 55/55 you (not enemy) Guardbots x6: Hp: 100/100 Metal Crawler: Hp: 110/250 In hallway: Hoverbots x2: Hp: 50/50 melonlord: HP: 200/200 Terrain: Large hallway overlooking the assembly lines, forcefields bar both exits. Items: pepperoni: well then, telaxius looks like you have your stuff. Defibrillation kit: literally has no use besides rezzing people who've hit first level death. Adrenaline shots: 5 uses, grants 25 temporary hit points (5 lost per round naturally) every time used. Self-sustaining propeller: with enough of these you could fly! Sawed-off shotgun: Wait haven't we gotten this thing before? Joy buzzer: Well, if this were stronger it might be useful... Pile of whoopee cushions: Okay, now I know the item roulette is just screwing with us. Speed boots: mechanical boots that increase the footspeed of the wearer Ion gloves: create small ion blasts, similar to what Iron Man can do. Chicken Sword: Like a katana, but much less useful Electric jumprope: ... someone has some serious explaining to do.

I combine the electric jump rope, joy buzzer, and whatever wiring or power source I can scrounge off the crushed remains of the hoverbot to create the LIGHTNING WHIP! Then, I lasso one of the hoverbots with it and use it to smash one bot into the other.
If that combo doesn't work, I leave the items and try to smash one into the other with my shield.

Then, I lasso one of the hoverbots with it and use it to smash one bot into the other. If that combo doesn't work, I leave the items and try to smash one into the other with my shield. You take the electric jump rope and joy buzzer and pieces of the smashed hover bot and successfully create the Lightning Whip! You KO both bots basically without effort and move on. If my carving is considered done, I attack a hover bot with magic. if not, I keep carving in the corner (was carving magic symbols) . You successfully carve your crude magic rod! You unfortunately fail to attack any hover bots as there are none in the room you are in. You continue trying to carve runes into the rod, hiding in the corner. EDIT: melonlord i swear to god i will stab you EDIT 2: if melonlords combo won't work, i tie the electric jumprope ontot he silly six pins set and throw it at the nightcrawler i defib con and use the ion gloves to destroy some guardbots You fail to do ANY of that becuse your inventory is full and has been for several rounds
You just generically smash some guardbots dealing 30 damage to two. > First off, Panic about being shot! > Question everyone about what the fuck is going on. > After briefly doing this, run to the less guarded door! You have no idea how to fight, and don't want to die! What the heck is going on is this: You were all on an adventure to destroy a great evil chained within a magic temple, but apparently the opening mechanisms for the door to the sealing chamber lead to either a: other parts of the world, or b: entirely different universes. As such, you've been plopped down in a massive factory to try and find why the opening mechanism wasn't working so you can go in and kill yourselves an eldritch abomination. You charge straight through less defended door, knocking over the most damaged guardbot for 10 damage. You see some heavy muscle coming down from one direction that seems to have scrape marks on the walls so you charge the other way. I COMBINE the Propeller and Speed Boots to create the BANE OF HERMES. I then dash, smash and slash the nearest Guardbot. You combine the Propeller and Speed Boots... You get the Bane of Hermes! These boots seem... incomplete somehow. You smash dash and crash right through one of the guardbots guarding the unguarded exit. It seems that part of why your boots seem incomplete is they don't seem to come with airbrakes. Your speed propels you straight through the window, taking off 20 hit points. ... You only have 10. Now not only are you falling to your death in the assembly lines but you're already dead. Now, let's go down the line of people who forgot that you're supposed to try and avoid/block incoming enemy fire and/or didn't block: Joebob manages to get himself a free pass because he's hiding in the corner and thus is not considered a threat. Sailor is on the back of a crazed metal crawler and being shot at. Now, this WAS going to wind up with him dead and falling out of the window, but that struck me as incredibly unfair, so I decided to kill two birds with one stone and reduced his taken damage to 70 total (50 from gunshots, 20 from window). His padded skull cap and silly six pins are both broken as compensation for this though. The metal crawler sent itself crashing out the window and spirals into oblivion in the process of all this. Literally the only other person still living is timetech, who bites it. Conair loses his stuff (barring the Beacon of course) and can now respawn at will. 8 more guardbots file into either end of the room, the far side are accompanied by two "Defenders" (basically mortars on wheels) and the ones on the closest side are joined by an Iron Hulk, a massive walking bipedal robot that's basically solid steel. And just like that, basically everyone is dead because nobody was paying attention or following established game mechanics. RIP. melonlord continues moving along, and stumbles upon a small armory, but inside of it is an assortment of turrets slots, as well as a Metal Crawler. They can choose to ransack it or risk the fight. Telaxius continues charging down the hallway and finds himself in an intersection that is inconveniently guarded by a quartet of machine gun turrets. Anyways, since the party is in a 4-way split (potentially about to turn into a 5-way split) I decided to swap things around. If you guys need me to color-code things, I can. Teams are designated by a little letter at the front, E means enemy, P means Player. A will mean Ally and U will mean Unaligned. Things may look grim but you can and WILL come back from this. If the three corpses in the hallway get abandoned they'll respawn in a different next area (hooray nonlinear gameplay!) Enemies: open exit [E] Iron Hulk: Hp: 500/500 [E] Guardbots x9: Hp: 100/100 [E] Guardbots x2: Hp: 70/100 [E] Guardbot: Hp: 55/100 theoddisee: REZ/300 HP (Inventory: The Pendulum (legendary)) (Traits: Tanky)
